

Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, she moved to the Inwood section of Manhattan, where she and her late husband, Irving, raised their family. Later, she moved to Bergenfield, N.J. and then Lake Worth, FL, where lived for over 20 years and was on the Board of her community association. She returned to New Jersey to live at Brandywine at Sycamore in Shrewsbury, N.J. last year.
Mrs. Polansky earned her Master’s Degree in Home Economics from Hunter College. She was a bookkeeper and office manager for Sonn Solberg, New York.
She was predeceased by her husband, Irving, who died in 1999, as well as her two brothers, Wallace and Norman Birnbaum. Surviving are her loving sons, Ron and his wife Jill of Oakland, and Andy and his wife Maria of Rumson; and her beloved grandchildren Emily, Sarah, Jason and Steven.
Graveside services will be held on October 16th, 2017 at 11a.m.at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Relief, (redcross.org/donate/disaster-relief?donamt=) or to the Visiting Nurses of Central NJ Hospice (vnahg.org/gifts-in-support-of-hospice).
