
Lillian graduated from Strathern High School, Montreal. She enjoyed her time at the swim clubs of the Jersey shore and volunteered at the BPOE Elks of Asbury Park. She loved to cook for her family, play Mahjong, watch her favorite hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens, and her favorite game show, Wheel of Fortune. Most of all she loved her family and friends. She was happiest when her family was together.
Lillian was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Lillian was preceded in death by her loving husband, William, of 52 years, brothers, Samuel and Nathan, sisters, Celia and Marion. Lillian is survived by her daughter, Nancy Peyser and her husband Edward; her son Mark Garber and his wife Cindy; her sister Esther Katz and her husband, Morris; Grandchildren, Scott Peyser and his wife, Jennifer; Lindsay Silverman and her husband Marc; Dana Garber; Great Grandchildren, Caleb, Luke and Celia Peyser; Nathan Silverman and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 1:00PM at Bloomfield Cooper Chapel, 2130 NJ-35, Ocean Township, NJ. Internment to follow at Chesed Shel Emes Cemetery, Bangs Avenue, Neptune, NJ. Luncheon to celebrate Lillian’s life will take place following the internment at 729 Bendermere Avenue, Interlaken, NJ.
Shiva will be observed at the same address Thursday and Friday starting at 12 noon.
Lillian will be missed and her memory will forever be in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lillian’s memory may be made to either The American Heart Association or Shriners Hospital for Children. Bloomfield Cooper Chapel, Ocean, NJ, is in charge of arrangements.
