Bessie Lou Doelling, 88 years old, a longtime resident of Odessa passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at her residence. She was born April 29, 1924 in Midland to Jim & Bessie (Lindley) Parker. She married Gustave “Gus” Doelling October 29, 1944. He preceded her in death on October 12, 2009. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was active in many community and civic organizations.
She is survived by her sons, James H. Doelling & Jay P. Doelling, both of Odessa, (3) grandchildren, Trevor Doelling, Troy Doelling & Crystal JayAnn Doelling Lehrmann, & (1) great-grandchild Dillon.
There will be a visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jim Longstreet officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
