"Big Daddy Zane's"

Zane LaDonne Ellison, 61, of Odessa, a successful business man, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 at his residence. He was born August 9, 1951 in Big Sandy, TX to A. C. & Dorothy (Perkna) Ellison. A driven man devoted to family and friends, those were one in the same for him, always striving to make life better for everyone around him. He spoke often about fast cars and women, he had quite a few.

He loved the people around him he will be missed, those who had the chance to know this truly amazing man are truly blessed, a father figure for family and friend alike, he was honestly the Big Daddy. He is resting now and will live in our hearts memory forever.

He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughters, Gabrielle LaDonne Ellison & Michelle LaDonne Ellison both of Odessa, brother, Gerald “Jerry” W. Ellison of Corpus Christi, (2) grandchildren, Brandon Brook Ellison & Craig Anthony Carlton and numerous family and friends.

He will be in state Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with Rev. Dewey Blevins officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A celebration of dad’s life will follow after services at Big Daddy Zane’s.
