Brenda Zapata

She was born to the late Francisco and Sabina Abila in Odessa, TX April 7, 1967. Attended and graduated from Odessa High School. She was a homemaker, as well as a loving mother, aunt, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Ramona Abila and Socorro Estrada, brothers Ruben Abila, Ismael Abila and Lupe Abila. All of Odessa.

Survived by her children: Rene Cano of Odessa, Matthew Zapata, Mark Zapata and Chasidy Zapata all of Odessa. Sisters: Manuela Santiago of Odessa, Brothers: Raul Abila of Grandfalls, Francisco Abila Jr, Israel Abila and Robert Abila all of Odessa. Her partner Rick Aguirre and stepson Michael Aguirre. 9 grandkids, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She will truly be missed by many, but never forgotten.

A visitation for Brenda will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home, 1700 N Jackson Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Odessa Funeral Home.
