Catherine Marie Cunningham

Catherine Marie Cunningham passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, May 4, 2016. Cathy was born June 6, 1949 in Pecos, Texas to Harry and Grace (Malett) Henderson. As a young girl she enjoyed working with her father and driving his truck. She also enjoyed camping, riding horses and taking care of her many animals. Cathy was a talented Artist and enjoyed painting. Cathy met the one and only love of her life Dewaine Gene Cunningham Sr. in her early teens and were married on June 7, 1964 in Pecos, TX. They have three children, Debra Walton, Dewaine Cunningham Jr, and Melinda McDowell. Dewaine and Cathy enjoyed raising wolves, turkeys, minx, and geese. Cathy was a member of the Permian Basin Bicycle Club and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Gardendale. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and husband Dewaine. Cathy leaves behind brothers, Jimmy, Robert and Danny Wayne Henderson, daughter, Debra & husband Moby, son, Dewaine, and daughter Melinda & husband Bobby, grandchildren, Niki, Haley & husband Mitchel, Paige & finance Brad, Taylor and Westin, great-grandchildren, Baylor & Lilly.

A visitation will be 6pm to 8pm Monday, May 9, 2016 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at First Southern Baptist Church of Gardendale, 6849 East Goldenrod, Gardendale, TX.
