The youngest of two daughters, Cindy and her sister worked on the family’s cotton farm until she married. Cindy married Robert Martinez Carrasco on August 26, 1951. The Carrasco moved to Odessa a short time later where they raised three children: Delores, Doris and Benjamin.
Cindy worked in the meat market at Everybody’s and Gibson’s Grocery Stores for nearly 20 years combined. Surrounded by her family, our heavenly Father called her home on Saturday, January 29. Cindy is preceded in death by her father, mother, daughter-Delores and son-Benjamin.
Those left to remember her are her husband-Robert of Odessa, daughter-Doris Biddy of Midland, granddaughter-Brandi Carrasco Vaughan Newton of Odessa, granddaughter-Jennifer Estrada of Odessa, granddaughter Jessica Guevara of Round Rock, grandson-Bryan Carrasco of Odessa, sister Faye Alexander of Mansfield, 8 great grandchildren and her dog, Shay.
Visitation for Cindy Carrasco will be at Odessa Funeral Home, Tuesday, February 8 from 4-8pm, rosary will be at 7pm. Cindy’s Celebration of Life will be at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 9 at 10am followed by her burial at Ector County Cemetery. The family respectfully requests donations be made to Home Hospice of Odessa in lieu of flowers
Serving as pallbearers are Bryan Carrasco, Thomas Estrada, Jayven Roque, James Newton and Colton Newton .
