

She was born on July 20, 1928 in Big Spring, TX. She was a member of St Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. She spent many years helping others to read, write, and speak English. She also was a member of the Flatlanders Ski Club. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She married the love of her life, Tommy Lewis Pool Sr. on March 30, 1950, and the two spent 60 long loving years together. She was loved by many, touched many hearts and instilled that love in all of us.
She was preceded in death by her mother Sarafina Saracho, father Luis Gonzalez, sister Carmen Riggs, sister Socorro Saracho, brother Manuel Gonzalez, and sister Mary Pitts.
She is survived by her husband Tommy Lewis Pool Sr. of Odessa, son Gerald Pool and wife Marcia of Monrovia, CA, daughter Cassandra Ellison and husband Mike Morris of Odessa, son Tommy Pool Jr. and Misty Locknane of Odessa and Thomas Martin Pool of Denver, CO and brothers Luis Gonzalez of Laguna Beach and Antonio Saracho of Huntsville. She is survived by nine grandchildren, Ginger Pool of Ft. Myers, Fl, Brandi Pool of Odessa, Jott Pool of Odessa, Serenity Stringer of San Antonio, Ashleigh Stewart of Lampasas, April Barnhart of Odessa, Tommy Lee Pool of Denver, CO, Whitney Baird of Odessa, Allison Kitchens of Ft. Worth. She is survived by 13 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Ashton, Kournti, Autumn, Kaitlyn, Ahlana, Kaden, Aiden, Tanner, Hudson, Hannah, Aaron, and Skyler.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Butler and Nurse Jodi, Dr. Kodi, Dr. Newsome, Dr. Miller, St Joseph’s Home Health and Chantel Conner with Home Hospice for taking such wonderful care of our mother and grandmother.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, 2010 at Frank W. Wilson Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary taking place at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13th at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Midland with Father Bridges officiating.
