Corey Michael Godwin

Corey is survived by his parents, Jeremy Godwin and Colleen Grant; his siblings, JJ, Jennifer and Jacob Godwin and Wyatt Grant; his paternal grandfather, Wes Godwin and his paternal grandmother, Judy Godwin; his maternal great-grandfather Henry Williams, his maternal grandfather, Gregory Williams and his maternal grandmother, Annie Williams; his uncle Jay Godwin, his uncle DD Williams and his wife Kristie, his uncle LT Williams and his wife Lauren, his aunt Annaette Williams-Bowers and her husband Kavin; his uncle, Jon Bopp; as well as many great aunts and great uncles, cousins, close family, and close friends.

Corey is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Judy Marie Jacobs, maternal great-grandfather Wayne Anthony Jacobs, and his maternal great-grandmother, Mary Louis Williams.

Corey is deeply loved by his mommy and daddy, big brothers Jacob and Wyatt, his grandparents, his great-granddaddy, his aunts and uncles, his cousins and many others. Corey will always remain his parents’ precious Angel Baby and Jacob and Wyatt’s little brother, and they will hold him again in heaven one day. Corey's struggle here on Earth was short, but the family takes great comfort in knowing he is happy in heaven with Jesus and has his wings.

The family will be honoring Corey Friday September 28, 2012 by wearing baby blue.

Services for Corey will be Friday September 28, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at Hubbard-Kelly and will be officiated by Brian Serrano. Followed by a balloon release.
