Cynthia Cobb Perales

Cynthia Cobb Perales, 67, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Cynthia was born October 6, 1958, to Paul and Jessie Lea Cobb in Odessa, Texas. Her childhood was shared with her older sister, Tina, and numerous cousins. Cynthia met Eddie Perales, who she married and had 5 children with, Paul, Sarah, Michael, Samantha and Mark.

Cynthia was an educator at Sam Houston Elementary where she impacted the lives of many students and coworkers. Cynthia found great pride in education and worked tirelessly in building a strong and nurturing classroom. Aside from teaching, her greatest passion in life was caring for her family. She cherished her and supported her children and grandchildren every step of the way. Once retired in 2022, she was able to spend her days with her grandchildren, and watching Notre Dame football every Saturday.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Jessie Cobb. She is survived by her sister, Tina Clifton, former husband, Eddie Perales of Odessa, children, Paul and Traci Perales of San Antonio, Sarah and Alexander Sanchez of Odessa, Michael and Ashley Perales of Odessa, Dr. Samantha Perales and Christopher Bartlett of Odessa, Mark Perales of Odessa and grandchildren, Joseph and Eric Sanchez of Odessa.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 19 at 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Rosary will be held on Friday, December 19 at 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Services will on Saturday, December 20 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
