David Ellison Carroll, 67, a long time resident of Odessa passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born March 22, 1944 in San Angelo to John & Mavis (Maris) Carroll.
David came to Odessa in 1957. He graduated from Permian High School and then joined the U. S. Navy. He married Carol Chesnut August 3, 1967 in Odessa. He was an electrical contractor. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and shooting with his grandson. He loved everyone and never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Carroll.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Carroll of Odessa, mother, Mavis Carroll of Referio, TX, daughter, Tammy Carroll Slaughter of Odessa, brother, Don Richard Carroll of Aurora, CO, sister, Dorothy Faye Thompson of Referio & (2) grandchildren, Kaisha Slaughter of Lubbock, & Kolby Slaughter of Odessa.
There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Frank Wilson Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
