Didio Bustos Barrera

In our heavenly kingdom and in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is to be found a beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather and dear friend. Didio Bustos Barrera 93, of Odessa TX, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa Texas. He was born January 7, 1922 to Valentin Barrera & Marcelina Bustos.

He was a Christian Catholic and an Army Veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart in 1944. He is preceded in death by his Beloved Wife: Celerina Flores Barrera, Parents, Valentin Barrera & Marcelina Bustos Barrera, Daughter, Alicia DeLeon, Grandson, Frankie Martinez, 6 brothers and 6 sisters. He is survived by: Daughter, Ervenia Reyes & husband, Henry Reyes of Odessa, TX, Sallie Gomez & husband, Joe Gomez of McCamey, TX. Grandchildren, Yvonne Bridges, Erika J. Reyes of Odessa Texas, Kym Rodriguez, Beverly Gomez, Joey Gomez, Luis Martinez, Norma Martinez, JoeAngel DeLeon and Gabriel DeLeon, of McCamey Texas, Hector Martinez and Johnny DeLeon of Odessa, Texas, Lisette Martinez of Houston, Texas.

Didio is also survived by several great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. We the Barrera, Reyes and Gomez families would like to take this time to express our utmost sincere gratitude and appreciation to each and every one for all the prayers, floral arrangements, food offerings and especially your presence with us during this difficult time. Visitation will be today, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at St. James Catholic Church, 209 East Hackberry St. in Sanderson Texas from 1pm to 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 1pm at St. James Catholic Church, in Sanderson Texas, with burial to follow at Santa Rita Cemetery in Sanderson, Texas.
