Dionicio Ochoa

Dionicio "Nicho" Ochoa, known by his grandkids as "Tito" was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Nicho passed away peacefully on October 30th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on October 15th, 1944, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Susana and Jose Ochoa. One of eleven children, NIcho grew up in a large and devoted family. From a young age, he showed great responsibility and love for his family, leaving school early to help support them.

Nicho married the love of his life, Alicia "Licha" Rivas, and together they shared 37 beautiful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and family. After Licha's passing, Nicho later found companionship again and married Zoila Venegas.

He is survived by his five children: Maria Ochoa, Oscar Ochoa; married to Annette Ochoa, Laura Ochoa, Ricardo Ochoa; married to Leticia Ochoa, and Nancy Velasquez; married to Oscar Velasquez.

Nicho was also blessed with ten grandchildren--JC, Levi; married to Louvdie, Aaron, Ervey, Victoria, Ricardo, Kamila, Chloe, Kaden, and Kynsley. And three great-grandchildren--Luke Ochoa, Leonidas Urias, and Lambert Ochoa.

Nicho will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, warm heart, and infectious laughter. He had a deep love for his trucks, always keeping them spotless and running perfectly, and he could never resist a good plate of chicharrones, one of his favorite foods. Every Sunday morning, you would find him at his favorite restaurant, "Que Tal", enjoying his menudo.

Those who knew Nicho will remember his humor and the way he made everyone feel like family. Though he may be gone, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the memories that continue to bring smiles and comfort to his family.

A visitation for Dionicio will be held Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home, 601 North Alleghaney, Odessa, TX 79761. A visitation will occur Monday, November 3, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 601 North Alleghaney, Odessa, TX 79761. A prayer service will occur Monday, November 3, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 601 North Alleghaney, Odessa, TX 79761. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, November 4, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 601 North Alleghaney, Odessa, TX 79761.
