Doyle Dean Pitman

In Our Heavenly Kingdom and the Loving Arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is found our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather& Dear Friend, Doyle Pitman. Mr. Pitman, 78 of Odessa passed away Thursday June 05, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at his residence. He was born in Haskell, Texas to Drafy Dudley Pitman and Ava Lee Cameron-Pitman on May 26, 1936. He was retired from the Oil Field Industry. Mr. Pitman is preceded in death by parents; D.D. and Ava Lee Pitman, Brothers Donald Pitman, Edward Pitman, Sisters Beatrice Livingston, and Wanda Weaver. He is survived by Loving Wife of 40 years; Jo Anne Pitman: Sons; Dennis (Tami) Pitman, all of Odessa, Texas and David (Merijo) Pitmanof Longview. Daughter; Lou Anne Chapman also of Odessa, Texas. Grandchildren; Justin and David Pitman, Rachel Allen, Bobby and Michael Whitlock, Shawna Kirk, Danielle and Scott Chapman, Tanya Wolfe and Amber Wright also 23 Great-Grandchildren and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many Friends. Pallbearers will be; Justin Pitman, Mike and Bobby Whitlock, Daniel Carver, Donny Kirk and David Bell. We the family would like to take this time to express our utmost sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for all your prayers, floral, food offerings and especially your presence with us during this difficult time. We would also like to express special gratitude to all doctors and staff at The Home Hospice for all the wonderful caring love given to our beloved Doyle. Family wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Gardendale Church of Christ and The Home Hospice. Visitation will be held today, Sunday, June 08, 2014 from 1:00pm to 9:00pm with a Family gathering with Friends from 6-8pm at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday June 09, 2014 at Gardendale Church of Christ, 4448 E. Morning Glory Rd, Gardendale, TX 79758. Officiated by Preacher John Snider. Interment to follow at Ector County Cemetery, Odessa Section. Services by Odessa Funeral Home
