Edna was born in Olton, Tx to Edgar and Zula Pool on June 15, 1934. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Bob Jackson.
She is survived by her three dear sons, Robert Jackson (Leigh) of Llano, Tx, Michael Jackson (Cindy) of San Angelo, Tx, Raymond Jackson (Linda) of Odessa, Tx and a brother, Bobby Pool of Tucson, Arizona.
Her legacy continues through her nine grandchildren that cherished and loved her dearly, and brought so much joy to her life.
Lauri Jackson, Kelli Griffin, Brian Jackson, Lindsey Richardson, John Jackson, Elliott Jackson, Alex Jackson, Kasey Jackson and Hunter Jackson, Kyle Wooten, as well as her eleven great grandchildren.
Edna had many hardships in her life, as she grew up in a time that was hard to make a living. She had to work hard at a very young age. She always loved school and loved learning, but sadly had to drop out of school in the 8th grade, as it was necessary for her to help support her large family. Edna was avid reader and continued her love of learning through out her life, eventually earning her GED, as well as completing her training as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was also an excellent seamstress.
Edna's love of learning did not compare to the love she had for her family, her deep faith and her incredible service to others. She touched the lives of so many people with her sweet loving spirit and her desire to care for and help anyone who was in need.
We will always be inspired by her intelligence, her strong resilience, her deep faith and her unconditional love for all of us, as well as her sweet easy laugh, her delicious meals and her insistence that you had eaten something before you left her house!
She was an incredible beloved woman, who was the strong glue that held the entire family together. She was the soft place to land for all of us, such an amazing positive influence and the best possible example of a devoted woman of God.
We can find comfort in knowing that she is at peace, her pain is gone, and she is finally on the journey she has been looking forward to for so long. She will be missed terribly by all that knew her and loved her.
.........Rest in Peace sweet Nana..........
