

(1926-2014)ODESSA Eduvijes Jaquez Ybarra passed peacefully from this life into her heavenly rest on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at her home.She was born April 24, 1926 in Chinate, Texas to Encarnacion and Teodora Jaquez. Eduvijes was the fourth of eight children. From a young age she learned to help out with the care of younger siblings and assist with the cooking and cleaning. Caring for family and friends gave her life purpose and meaning, and no one did that better than she.She met and married her husband Bernardo Ybarra on January 5, 1947 after a seven year courtship. They moved to Odessa in 1947 to find work and start a family of their own. They made their home for a family of four children among family and new acquaintances that were to become lifelong family friends. Eduvijes was a member of the Sacred Heart and Catholic Women's Organization. She became a Cursillista on February 16, 78. Her life was liven example of what Catholic women should be and testimony to her faith in God. She was totally devoted to her church and family. She was a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and neighbor. She touched the lives of everyone she met and was loved my many. Mere words cannot express how much she will be missed by those left behind. Selfishly, we shall mourn our loss, but we must thank God for the blessing of having had her in our lives for so long.She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Israel Ybarra; granddaughter, Joann Ybarra' great granddaughter, Brittney Molinar; parents" sister, Carmen Holguin, Eldifonsa Ramos, Ramon Ramirez' and brothers Macedonio Jaquez and Luis Jaquez.She is survived by her three daughters Irma Molinar and husband Albert, Imelda Chey Castillo(+Mike) all from Odessa and Irene Molinar and husband Thomas from Spring, Texas, 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Gregoria Garcia from Pecos, Texas, Maria Rosas from Silver Spring, Maryland, and Ricarda Jaquez from Ft. Worth, Texas. Services are scheduled for 10:00A.M. Monday, October 13, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 907 S. Dixie. Rosary will be said on Sunday at 7:00 P.M. at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you her primary care doctor, the doctors and staff from Special Procedures Department at Medical Center Hospital and Home Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
