

He was born July 7, 1929, in Rowena, TX, to Gus Richard and Christine Rose Redman. He graduated from Norton High School and later served as an ammunition specialist in the US Army from 1952 to 1954. He married Virginia L. Parker on December 22, 1951, in Ballinger, TX. He was an engineer for Dresser-Atlas and a member of First Baptist Church of Odessa.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gus and Christine Redman, two brothers Richard and Milton Redman, and one sister Gladys Redman.
He is survived by his wife Virginia L. Redman of Odessa; son Rodney E. Redman and wife, Denice of Odessa; daughters Roxanne Miles of Dallas, TX; and Vanessa Redman of Odessa; brother Curtis Redman and wife, Ruby of Abilene, TX; grandchildren Jeremy Redman, Eddie Miles and wife, Autumn, Aaron Miles, Christy Dewey, and Brian Redman and wife, Tiffany; and great-grandchildren Jayda, Jenna, and Jewell Dewey, Grace and Jude Miles, and Nathan, Jackson, and Kendall Redman.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, December 16, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Pastor Eddie Miles officiating.
