

WADE WILSON PASSED AWAY ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4, 2017 AT THE AGE OF 90. He was a World War II veteran. He was born on a ranch in Winters, Texas on September 23, 1926. He is preceded in death by his parents, Guster Plez & Nannie Mae (Ensor) Wilson, wife Dorothy Wilson, sisters, Joyce Wood & Nita Crooks, & Zay Barfield. Wade had several careers in his lifetime. The one career he is the most known for is the building and running Wilson Mobile Home Parks. He married Dorothy Wilson in 1949. They relocated to Odessa in 1968 where he started his career in the Mobile Home Park Business. Wade is survived by his sister, Susie Hunt of Ft. Worth, daughter, Frances Wilson of Massachusetts, son, Dean Wilson & wife Terrie of Odessa, (3) granddaughters, Melissa Hammitt of Odessa, Sarah Vasquez of Dallas, and Shara Hembree of San Angelo, as well as (5) great-grandchildren, Amber, Kactlin, Caleb, Logan & Elle. Wade is remembered as an upstanding man, good to his word, loving father and husband. His caregivers described him as charming and a character. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Craig Steen officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
