Frances Holcomb

She was born on March 31, 1919, in Rockdale, TX, to Harry and Rosa Steinberg. She married Marvin C. Holcomb on December 2, 1939, in Odessa. She was a longtime member of Belmont Baptist Church in Odessa. She was also a 25 year member of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA).

She and her husband Marvin owned and operated Holcomb Variety Store on West 10th street for 26 years before the store was closed in 1974.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Holcomb, her son, Michael Holcomb and her three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Potts, Harriet Steinberg and Annie Mae Hill. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Monday, April 27, 2015, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Ector County Cemetery with Rev. John McLemore officiating.
