He was born November 26, 1969, in Ojinaga, Mexico, to Edmundo and Manuela Saenz. He was married to Hazel Salazar.
He was preceded in death by his father Edmundo Saenz.
He is survived by his wife Hazel Salazar; son Gerardo Saenz, Jr; mother Manuela Saenz; brothers Edwardo, Arturo, Edmundo, and Sergio Saenz; and sisters Patricia Saenz, Olivia Alvarado, and Yolanda Aranda, all of Odessa.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, June 3, 2016, at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery.
