

James Garland (Pinky) Shepard was born in Graham, TX on March 25, 1945 to Audie Shepard and Gladys Enlow Shepard. James went to meet his Heavenly Father on August 14, 2010. James served his country in Viet Nam from November 1967 to November 1968. He married his childhood sweetheart Anita Carnley and they had 2 sons and 6 grandsons. James worked for Rock Tool Company for 31 years.
James was preceded in death by his father, Audie Shepard, stepfather J.O. Musgrave, two brothers, Don Shepard and Edward Shepard. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Anita Shepard, his two sons, Michael Shepard and wife Kristi and Todd Shepard and wife Amanda, all of Odessa; his mother Gladys Musgrave, brother Cotton Shepard and wife Mildred, sister Hazel Moore and husband Alvis all of Graham, TX; sister-in-law Jo Shepard; grandsons, Shane Shepard, Brandon Shepard, Derek Collinsworth, Cory Shepard, Konner Shepard and Colton Shepard; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 17, 2010 at 10 AM at the Frank Wilson Funeral Directors with Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Another service will be held Thursday August 19, at 8:30 AM the McMillan Funeral Home in Graham, TX with burial in the Newcastle Cemetery, Newcastle, TX.
Services are under the direction of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
