James A. Woods, age 45, of Odessa, Tx, passed on November 5th, 2022. James characterized himself as a “Professional Storyteller” via images and text. He was a creative person who loved writing, photography, and building with LEGO. James was always an intellectual, majoring in English in college and dedicating time to reading, learning, and searching for truth. Though reserved, he was always genuine and determined to be himself. James had many jobs, including working at the T.V. station, driving a supply truck, teaching, and as a credit union teller. He worked for his family until his diagnosis with Leukemia in late 2020. James fought hard and never lost hope, maintaining a sober mind and desire for freedom and adventure. Even after losing his eyesight during his fight with cancer, James recognized it as an opportunity to explore a new way of perceiving the world. In the end, James boldly went into the true “final frontier”.
James A. Woods is survived by his parents James E. and Glenda (Susie) Woods, wife Mary Ann (Rayne) Bailey Woods, his children Sarrah and Reuben Woods, and aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
