John F. Conlin Jr. 61, lost his fight against chronic lymphocytic leukemia on Saturday, February 26 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He had been fighting this disease since July 2005. He was a great husband and a wonderful father. He was born October 24, 1949 in Baird Texas. John loved his job as a security guard at Odessa Social Security Administration and enjoyed working with the people there. He was also a 1968 Permian graduate. He was preceded in death by his sister; Carol Brewer. John is survived by his wife; Sharon Conlin of Odessa, sons, Chris Conlin, Dean Conlin and Nick Conlin all of Odessa, brother; Jimmy Conlin of Odessa, his his mother; Carolyn Conlin, father; John F. Conlin Sr. and stepmother; Nancy Conlin all of Odessa. His family and two dogs, Petey and Chewy will miss him terribly. Visitation will be at 1 pm Sunday February 27, 2011 at Odessa Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 12 noon at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery ( Rose Hill).
