Joyce Lorene Turner

Joyce Lorene Patterson Turner was born on December 2nd of 1943. She is the daughter of Odell Patterson and Marie Walters. She left the earth to be with God on April 19th of 2011. She is survived by her son Jeff Benham and his wife, April, of Odessa, Texas, and her daughter, Letsie Meree Bates (Sissy), of Jacksonville, Florida. She is succeeded by her grandchildren Kimberly Noel Ross of Jacksonville, Florida, Specialist Joshua Shane Billyard who is currently deployed to Iraq, Tori Jean Benham of Odessa, Texas, Dustin Ray Benham, of Odessa, Texas, Danielle Reneigh Benham of Odessa, Texas and adopted grandson Kipp Donavan Talley II of Odessa, Tx. Joyce is also succeeded by one great granddaughter, Cameron Meree Nijboer of Jacksonville, Florida She is survived by an older sister, Lois McGary and her husband Bob of Grand Junction, Colorado, a younger sister, Doris Gaby of Seven Oaks, Texas and a younger brother, Roger Patterson and his wife Susan of New Boston, Texas. Joyce was the owner of the online store “Joyce’s Craft Supplies”. She was a genuine and compassionate mother, grandmother, sister, business owner and friend. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 1-9 pm with the family to receive friends from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Services will be Monday, April 25, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery ( Los Angeles Section) Joyce will be missed very much and those who follow her into the kingdom of Heaven love her dearly.
