LaDonna Lynne Hamilton

April 1, 1960 –April 24, 2011

Our precious LaDonna left us on April 24, 2011 to join our Savior in Christ. She was born on April 1, 1960 in Hobbs, NM, later making her home in Odessa.

She was a very dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She spent the majority of her time here on earth working as a clerk at Phillips 66, where she had numerous customers, become friends. While working there she also met her love, Joe Hamilton and had a wonderful fifteen years of marriage.

LaDonna showed her strong faith in Christ with her willingness, selflessness and compassion for everyone she came in contact with.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Hamilton, mother, Berneice Dodson, of Deming, NM, sons, Curt and wife April Shipman, Erick and wife Greta Shipman, Darren Shipman, daughter, Kori Baughman and husband Josh all of Odessa, step-son, Brian and wife Jennifer of San Antonio, step-daughter, Angela Hillard and husband James of Tyler, TX, Stephanie Christian, of Tyler, TX, sisters, Gay Helton and husband Ivan of Deming, NM, Nella Wilkerson and husband Steve of Houston, Birdie Hickey of Odessa, brothers, Gary Kenney and wife Nita of Odessa, M. R. (Butch) Dodson and wife Linda of Odessa, Randy Dodson of Tulsa, OK, (16) grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Weylon Kenney, Gary Don Kenney, Derek Hickey, Travis Hickey, Ted Hickey and Brandon Hickey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Matt Dodson, Sean Brumley, Shannon Brumley and Aaron Kenney.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Crossroads Fellowship with Rev. Donald Bugg officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
