She went to be with our Lord on Sat. Nov 5th 2022. She was surrounded by her family and friends. Lucy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She worked as a presser for Odessa Cleaners, Sunshine and Fashion Cleaners for many years. She worked as a seamstress at C.R, Anthony’s during the holidays. She retired from Levi Strauss in 2002. After retiring, she dedicated her time to taking care of her grandkids and great grandkids.
Back in the day, she was known as the “neighborhood mom”. Her kitchen was always open to those who entered our home.
She is preceded in death by her husband Refugio, her son Steven, her stepdaughter Margie Rivas Martinez, her parents, brothers Adalbert, Abelardo and Jose Tercero and son in law Bull Veliz.
She is survived by her sister Mary, daughters Jessie Veliz, Carol Casias (Albert), Christina Fuentes (Ricky Patino), Mary Salgado (Israel), Margie Garcia (Bill) and son Jaime Fuentes (Courtney Calderon).

A burial will occur Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Ector County Cemetery, 300 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, Texas 79761.
