

Magdalena A Valencia, 83, of Odessa, passed away Saturday April 26, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born February 25, 1942 in Balmorhea, Texas to Enrique and Manuela (Hernandez) Alvarez.
She was a loving and devoted wife, a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She had a heart of Love. She loved spending her time with her family, volunteering at church and watching Hallmark movies.
Magdalena was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She retired from ECISD Food Service.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gilbert C. Valencia, her parents, and brothers, Eloy and Rodulfo Alvarez.
Magdalena is survived by her children, Jerry Valencia (Cindy), Edward Valencia (Julia), Eric Valencia (Jana), Debbie Arredondo (Eddie), Lori Garcia (Louie); 10 Grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Magdalena will be held Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home, 1700 North Jackson, Odessa, TX 79761, with a rosary at 6:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Monday, May 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2633 Conover Ave, Odessa, TX 79763 with a committal service & burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 6801 E, BL-20, Odessa, TX 79762.
Serving as pallbearers are Jacob Arredondo, Noah Arredondo, Chris Arredondo, Seth Valencia, Alex Valencia, Isaac Sanchez, Jaxon Bautista and Julius Galindo.
