Marcia Laverne King, 90, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Deerings Nursing Home. She was born July 15, 1924 in Dallas,TX . She was a retired store manager for Gold Bond Stamps, volunteer for Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary, and a charter member of the Eisenhower Church of Christ where she had taught Sunday School.
She is preceded in death by her husband Allen King.
She is survived by her son Dale King of Dallas, daughter Gale Sides of Odessa, (3) grandchildren, Amber Johnansen, Amy Neely, Sally Whitney & (6) great-grandchildren, Christopher Johansen, Heather Johansen, Bailey Whitney, Tyler Whitney, Brady Neely & Addyson Neely, and numerous nieces & nephews whom she was known to as Auntie Babe.
A visitation with family and friends will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, October 3, 2014 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with Denny Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
