Our beloved grandmother, mom, sister and best friend was called to heaven. She was loved and respected by many and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father and mother: Bartolo and Maria Alday, her sister Sandra Alday, and her brother Filigonio "Felix" Garcia Jr. She is survived by her longtime companion Michael Wilkerson, her son Ernest Gilmore and grandson Jesse Gilmore, her loving brothers and sisters Raymond & Maria Polanco, Jesse & Amalia “Mel” Carrasco, Phillip & Yolanda Chavez and Alex & Claudia Alday, and Johnny & Brenda Alday.
The family will receive in close friends for a time of visitation from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM on Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Odessa Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00 AM followed by her burial at Rosehill Cemetery.
