

She was born on January 12, 1944, in Seymour, Texas, to the late Helen (Roberson) Woods and William H. Woods. Marilyn grew up in West Texas and graduated from Monahans High School. She later continued her education at Sul Ross State University, where she earned her degree and began a lifelong commitment to education.
Marilyn dedicated 32 years of service as a schoolteacher with the Ector County Independent School District. She was a devoted educator who cared deeply for her students and took great pride in helping shape young minds throughout her career.
On November 4, 1971, she married the love of her life, Donald R. Andjulis. Together they shared many wonderful years and enjoyed traveling the world, creating lasting memories along the way.
Marilyn was a faithful member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Odessa, where she found community, friendship, and spiritual strength.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald R. Andjulis of Odessa; son, Todd Andjulus of Tyler; niece, Anne Sanders and husband Willie of Houston; nephew, Allen Melton of Houston; and cousins, Marilon Minyard of Texas and Paula Pace of Oklahoma.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, W.H. and Helen R. Woods; sister, Diane Thomas; and nephew, William Melton.
She will be remembered for her kindness, dedication to teaching, love of travel, and the deep care she showed to those around her.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Asbury United Methodist Church in Odessa.
Honorary pallbearers are Faye Billups, Susie Haynes, Pearl Hennig, Karen Kidd, Freida Lane, Donna Lind, Sammie Rogers, Tammie White, and Pat Barrow.
