Martha Vashti Willis

Vashti Willis, 87, a long time resident of Odessa passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born February 10, 1924 in Caddo County, Oklahoma. She was a devoted mother, grandmother & great grandmother. She was an active member of Crossroads Fellowship. She was devoted to the Ministry to shut ins. Her Christian love knew no bounds. She also was an excellent seamstress. She retired from Willis Movers over 25 years ago.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerome Willis, son, J. D. Elliot, grandson, Travis Elliot, five brothers & two sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Tiffany Ann Kovelan & husband Edward of New Braunfels, Mary Jane Briscoe, & Laura Myers both of Odessa, Michelle Martinez of El Paso, sons, Bill Elliot & wife Joyce of San Marcos, Rodney Elliot & wife Terry of Midland, & David Elliot & wife Esther of Midland, John Willis & wife Delores of Midland. Daughter-in-law, Linda Elliot, Brother, Tex Berry & wife Evelyn of Odessa, sisters, Marjorie Stubblefield & Corine Berry all of Odessa, (7) grandchildren, (15) great-grandchildren, & (3) great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by a niece, Lucy Trosin, who considered her as her grandmother, & numerous other nieces & nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Ector County/Odessa Section with Rev. David Newton officiating.
