Mrs Mary D Young

Mary Denton Young, 89, of Odessa died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Odessa Regional Medical Center. She was born December 24, 1923 in Crosby County, Texas to Loyd A. and Sarah (Bunch) Denton. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1941 and married Woodrow W. Young on October 25, 1947.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, one sister, and one great-granddaughter, Caroline Morris.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy Young of Odessa, Susan Morris & husband Larry of Grapevine, TX, grandson, Leland Morris & wife Brooke of Keller, TX, granddaughter, Lindsey Morris of Grapevine, great-grandson, Cooper Dixon Morris, her brother, Perry Denton of Carlsbad, NM, her sister, Betty Johnson of Gastonia, NC. & several nieces & nephews.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Family requests memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Odessa, TX or the Methodist Children’s Home, 1111 Herring Ave. Waco, TX 76708.
