Maxey Lee McMahan, age 83, long-time resident of Odessa, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013, at Shannon Hospital in San Angelo.
She was born August 27, 1930, to Amos L. and Lena M. (Hays) McMillan in Lynn County, TX. She married James McMahan on September 23, 1977, in Odessa. She was a LVN for Texas Tech OB-Gyn Clinic for 22 years, and a member of Life Change Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents Amos and Lena McMillan, and her husband James McMahan.
She is survived by her daughters Shannon Taylor of Blackwell, TX, Raygean Taulbee of Odessa, and Bitsy Grady of Dallas, TX; step-sons Terry McMahan of Leander, TX and Mark McMahan of Plano, TX; step-daughter Deborah Gantman of Big Spring, TX; ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Rev. Johnny Thomason officiating. Burial will follow at Nevels Cemetery in Tahoka, TX.
