Michael Allen Cunningham

Michael Allen Cunningham, age 59, of Odessa, passed away at Buena Vida Nursing Home on March 1st, 2011.

Mike was born in Beaumont, Texas on July 15th, 1951. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Odessa Permian High School and an avid fan of the Mojo football team. Mike was a former member of the Odessa Jaycees where he formed friendships that he cherished throughout his lifetime. His last job was with West Texas Peterbilt, where he worked in their parts department. He loved this job, and the management there was truly a blessing for him. Mike's passion was his family, and he thoroughly enjoyed attending his niece's and nephew's sporting events, school activities, Scouting experiences and family gatherings.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Cunningham.

Mike is survived by his mother Stella Cunningham; brother and sister-in law Pat and Laura Cunningham; sister Dianne Postelle, all of Odessa; nephews, Nick Cunningham of Stillwater, OK; Max Cunningham of College Station, TX; Hunter Cunningham, T.J. Holman, and niece Alison Postelle, all of Odessa. His nephews and niece will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 9am -9pm Friday March 4th, 2011 with a family gathering with friends from 5 pm to 7 PM at Odessa Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM Saturday March 5th, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Odessa Funeral Home.
