Mildred Wilkerson Wright

She was born in Nacogdoches, TX, to PW and Nora Wilkerson. She married Hugh Edmondson but she soon lost him to death. In 1953, in Carlsbad, NM, she married Floyd Wright. They had a marriage that produced a loving family. He preceded her in death, as well as her daughter Karen; her parents PW and Nora; and all her siblings Bernice, Clifton, EJ, Hot Shot, Jack Wilkerson and Dorothy McCraw.

She is survived by two daughters Lanna Tennison and husband, Bill of Odessa; and Beverly McCall and husband Homer of May; five grandchildren Rhonda McKinney and husband, Bobby; Richard Tennison and wife, Lori; Jeramy Wright and wife, Rebecca; JR McCall and wife, Linda; Chris McCall and wife, April; thirteen great-grandchildren Aaron, Alexis, Amy, Breila, Brianna, Daniela, Ginny, Jennifer, Kevin, Malik, Marcos, Zachary, and Zoey; two great-great-grandchildren, Daniel and Emmett; and her faithful canine companion, Mickey.

Mildred was a homemaker. She had the gift of hospitality. If anyone ever left hungry from her house it was to no fault of hers. She will be sorely missed.

Family visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery.
