Modicar Ross

Modicar and Charles E. Hollowell married on February 28, 1945, and had two children, Modicar Marie and Charles Ray. She was a homemaker till after Charles’ death in 1968, and then worked at various jobs. Her caring nature led her to become a personal caregiver for many in Odessa. She found time to bake for her church, Faith Temple Fellowship, and could be counted on to help feed the homeless there with her cakes and pies. She was a mainstay for her family, and will be greatly missed.

Modicar was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Charles Hollowell, daughter Marie Hollowell-Miller and son Charles Ray Hollowell. One grandson, Jerry Hollowell also preceded her, as well as, her second husband Herbert Ross. Modicar outlived all her siblings as well.

Left to cherish her memory are granddaughter Angie Munoz and grandsons Eddie Hollowell, Michael Hollowell and wife Renee, and John Hollowell, great grandchildren are, Troy, Abbie, Joshua, Caleb, Matthew, Kristen and Emily, Andrew, and Shayle, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews, close friends. Frequent visitors were John, Clara, Carol and Donna.

Pallbearers: John Hollowell, Joshua Hollowell, Caleb Hollowell, Matthew Valenzuela, Ramon Gonzales, Christopher Hopper.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 6 pm until 8 pm at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Services will be Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 10 am in the Chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with Michael Hollowell officiating.
