Tilly was born and raised in Fort Stockton, Texas on October 18, 1940 to the late Soccorro Acosta and late Juan Valenzuela. She was married to the late Raymond Dominguez on December 6, 1959; they were married for 61 years.
She lived a full life as a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, friend and firm believer in our Lord. Generous, loving, patient, beautiful, kind-hearted, considerate and great sense of humor are just a handful of words that describe her beautiful soul. She loved to watch Golden Girls on repeat with a fresh glass of coconut tea, she enjoyed word search puzzles, sewing, and oh did she love her shopping. She could shop for hours. She was infamous for her collection of purses and shoes. She enjoyed watching her novellas and Family Feud with her honey. Tilly also had a love for cooking and baking. She made the best tortillas in the world. She quickly established traditions that are still held today and will continue for future generations. She especially loved the holidays where she baked numerous pies, dressing and other holiday dishes while still making sure that the house was decorated from top to bottom.
Tilly was best known for her warmth of heart. She tended to family, friends and anyone who she encountered in her nurturing ways. She had a way of expressing her love to her children and grandchildren through food and beautiful conversation. She instilled good values in her children and grandchildren that has served them well and will continue to serve them.
Despite her large family Tilly always made time for everyone. She always provided support and love for her family.
Not only was she a hard worker at home, but she also worked for the family business Soza Construction established in 1995, now known as Toro Complete Services.
At the end of the day, Tilly’s greatest love was being surrounded by her family and friends. Whether it be simply watching one of her favorite movies or having a huge spread of her favorite foods, the most important part of that was being surrounded with her family’s conversations, laughs and presence.
Tilly is survived by her four children: daughter Reva Hernandez (Albert); daughter Roxy Dominguez; son Raymond Dominguez (Sammy) and daughter Gina Holder (Michael); eleven brothers, five sisters, eight grandchildren; Anthony, Andre, Ashley, Robyn, Lexi, Sami, Ryder, and Kieran, seven great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Tilly is preceded in death by her honey, Raymond Dominguez; her parents Soccorro Acosta and Juan Valenzuela; her two brothers Ismael Valenzuela and Jose Acosta and one of her best friends, Juanita Dominguez.
Tilly will be dearly missed for her heart of gold and loving nature. She is forever in our hearts. As Tilly would always say to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, ‘I LOVE YOU TODAY, TOMORROW AND ALWAYS’, as we do you.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 1-9 PM with the Rosary at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 22nd at 10 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Anthony Hernandez, Andre Hernandez, Ryder Holder, Devon Hernandez, Zac Martin and Albert Dominguez will serve as pallbearers.
The family of Tilly Dominguez wishes to thank all their friends and family for the outpour of love and support during this time. A special thank you to her hospice nurses who gave her all the love and treated as their own, Misty and Cynthia.
