Ray Thompson

Ray was a 30 year veteran of the oilfield in the United States, Iran and Scotland. He retired after working at Medical Center Hospital for 14 years.

Ray was preceded in death by his son, Randy Don Thompson; parents O. E. and Victoria Thompson and brothers, Roy Lee Thompson, Fred Thompson, and Ronnie Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, Terry, of the home; sister Charlene Turner (Dee) of San Angelo, brothers, Ed Thompson (Mary) of Poway, California and Malcolm Thompson of Kermit; grandson Sean Thompson of Houston; granddaughters Tara Thompson of Scotland, Michelle Thompson, Jessica Thompson (Justin)and Tabitha Thompson of Odessa, and Autumn Thompson of St. Clairville, Ohio; and 5 great-grandchildren, Brianna and Christina Fernandez, Nathaniel and Natalia Olaque, and Natasha Thompson and many nieces and nephews.

A very special thank you to daughter-in-law Martina Thompson for the love, support and personal assistance she shared.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Graveside services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Kermit Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Touchstone officiating.
