Robert Garza Rivera

In our heavenly kingdom and in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is to be found a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and dear friend Robert Garza Rivera, 66, of Odessa Texas. Robert passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at Medical Center Hospital, in Odessa Texas. He was born September 10, 1949 in Big Spring, Texas to Andres Rivera and Estella Garza. Robert is survived by his wife, Dora Felan Rivera of Odessa, Texas, daughter: Amy Rodriguez and husband Jeremy of Odessa, Texas, a sister Corine Martinez of Midland, brothers: Pete Rivera of Colorado City, Texas and Andy Rivera of Denton, Texas, and two grandchildren: Jennifer and Jeremy Rodriguez He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Robert was a Navy Veteran and served in the Vietnam War.

May God bless you all abundantly. Visitation will begin today at 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm, June 19, 2016 and Monday, June 20, 2016, 8 am – 9 pm. Rosary will be recited Monday, June, 20, 2016 at 7:00 pm, at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel, 1700 N. Jackson Street, Odessa, Texas. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church 7601 N. Grandview, Odessa, Texas, with Rev. Mark Woodruff officiating. Burial service will follow at American Heritage Cemetery, 4100 N. FM 1788, Midland, Texas 79707. Pallbearers will Lee Trujillo, Jody Martinez, Nick Rivera, John Martinez, James Porter, Andrew Contreras, Pete Rivera, and Ruben Felan.
