Robert "Bob" Alvin Southard

In the 97 years that Bob lived he was a son, a brother, a hero, a husband, a dad, a grandpa, an uncle and a friend. He proudly served in the army from September 17, 1945 to November 29, 1946. His hobbies included gun collecting and riding his motorcycles. His memory and the impact he had on others will always be remembered and cherished.

Bob is survived by his daughter Kathryn Ann Southard, his son Richard Alan Southard and wife Michyle and his daughter in law, Linda Southard; his grandchildren Russell Alexander, Sarah Houston, Christine Southard Casey (Mark), Brian Southard (Lauren), Robert Southard (Taylor); his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Dylan, Ainsley, Hayes, Avery, Annie, Eleanor, and Piper.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Margaret Southard, his son Robert Wayne Southard, his daughter Nita Kay Southard, his sister Norma Jo Southard and his brother William W. Southard.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Interim Healthcare of Midland for their Kindness and quality of care provided to him and his loved ones.

A graveside service for Bob will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Woodbine Cemetery, 201 E Hermosa Dr, Artesia, NM 88210.
