Samuel "Sammy" Munoz Jr.

In our heavenly kingdom and in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is to be found a beloved husband, father, son, brother and dear friend. Samuel Munoz Jr, 63, of Odessa, Texas. Samuel passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016, in Odessa, Texas. Samuel was born in Alpine, Texas, to parents Samuel Sr and Senaida Munoz on October 2, 1952. He graduated from Ector High School in 1971. He was a loving husband, father, brother, Papa, and a friend to many. He will be loved and missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Samuel is preceded in death by his father Samuel Munoz Sr. He is survived by the love of his life of 21 years, wife Michelle Munoz; his son Bryan Munoz and wife, Maiya of Odessa, Texas; his two grandchildren Bryan Avery Munoz Jr and Amariee Rose Munoz of Odessa, Texas; his mother Senaida Munoz of Odessa, Texas; his brothers Armando and wife Teresa Munoz of Odessa, Texas; Adan Leija of Stockton, CA; sisters Norma Munoz of Stockton, CA; Irma Munoz Esparza of Stockton, CA; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends; as well as his beloved chihuahua "Cookie". We the family would like to take this time to express our utmost sincere gratitude and appreciation to each and every one for all the prayers, floral arrangements, food offerings and especially your presence with us during this difficult time. May God bless you all abundantly. Pallbearers will be: Kristopher Munoz, Jason Munoz, Turi Hinojos, Krystopher Mitchell, Hans Saenz, Isaiah Flores, Jesse Galindo, and Marcus Mondragon. Visitations will be Tuesday & Wednesday June 14th & 15th, 2016 from 8:00am to 6:00pm, with Rosary on Thursday at 7:00 pm at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church 907 S. Dixie Street, Odessa, Texas at 10:00 am on Friday, June 17th, 2016, with Fr. Frank Chavez officiating. Interment will be held at Ector County Cemetery, the Peaceful Garden Section. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
