Sara Bell Bryan

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 25, at 1:00 PM at Sunset Gardens.

Sara was born on December 27, 1932, in Mertens, Texas, to Thomas and Susie Ratliff. She grew up cherishing the values of faith, family, and community, which she carried throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ben Bryan; her son, Jimmy Haveman; and her great-grandson, Tommy Nelson.

Sara’s legacy lives on in those she loved so deeply. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Debbie Haveman; her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Bill Simmons; her cherished grandchildren, Jodie and Jonathan Powers, Billy Haveman, Bret Simmons, Jaime and Kevin Miller, Crystal Haveman, and Adam Haveman; and several great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren lovingly called her "Nanny," a name that perfectly captured her nurturing and joyful spirit.

Sara loved her family fiercely, and some of her happiest moments were spent on the water with a fishing pole in hand, teaching her grandkids how to bait a hook and cheering them on as they reeled in their first catches. She had a playful spirit that made every family gathering memorable.
