Wanda Carol Copley Sullivan, 69, of Odessa, passed away Tuesday August 15, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 22, 1947 in Decatur, Texas, to Reuben and Maybell Copley. She spent most of her childhood in Odessa, Texas. Active in sports, homemaking, and choir as a teenager, Wanda graduated from Ector High School in Odessa in 1964. Wanda married Jack Richard Sullivan on March 20, 1965 in Odessa, Texas. She enjoyed sewing, shopping, crocheting, fishing, canning, and not to mention a fantastic cook. She was an avid decorator and every holiday was a reason to decorate to the hilt. At Christmas, virtually every person she knew received a gift. She had an amazing sense of humor, always keeping everyone laughing, and never met a stranger. No matter what was going on, she always had a very special way of making sure the ones she cared about did not want for anything. She loved being a housewife and taking care of her family. She took great pride in what she did and everything at her house had its own specific spot and was not to be rearranged. Wanda Carol loved to gamble and take trips to Ruidoso and Vegas with friends and family. So many people’s hearts and lives were touched through her grace and presence and she made a difference in the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She was the most loving mother, wife, friend, and grandmother to her grandchildren who always loved to come to “Mommaw’s house.” Wanda is survived by her husband, Jack; daughter Jacquelyn Sullivan; daughter Michelle Sullivan; son Casey Sullivan and wife Tobee, two grandsons Taylor & Cayden Sullivan; brother Eddy Copley and wife Martha; dear friends of the family Lawanda Rumbaugh and Deidra Roper and many other nephews, nieces, relatives and special friends. She was preceded in death by both parents. Family visitation is being offered Thursday evening from 6 – 8 PM at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home. Chapel services will be held at 11 AM Friday morning at Hubbard Kelly funeral home Chapel with Pastor Evan Rogers officiating with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Monetary donations may be made to Home Hospice of Odessa. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
