Linda and I have been friends for years as we met at Teachers' College in 1964 and once we graduated in 1968 we taught at the same High School and the following year in the same elementary school.  Linda attended my wedding in 1968 and I attended her wedding with my husband and baby daughter.  Unfortunately, Alex and I moved away to Toronto and then to Victoria, B.C. and so we have not seen each other since then but I have always had a great affection for Linda over the years and considered her my best friend.  I will miss you, my dear friend.  Rest in peace.  Bozenna Apouchtine

My sincère condoléances to Linda’s family and her children!  Such good memories of her being the Éducation director  working together in starting a community bingo and her total support of the community needs during the 1990 events food bank etc!

So sorry to hear about Linda. I am Christopher Pamphilon .I am the eldest son of Geoffrey Pamphilon who was Queenies brother and Lindas uncle. Linda and I are cousins. 
Before the Ness,s moved to Canada we lived in Birmingham  and we would occasionally visit my Grandmother,s house there and I remember Linda being there.Often  my brother Jeremy and Linda and my self would fill happy hours there. I do remember being told 
by Grandma to " go and play in the garden" and the three of us  would
play games outside whatever the weather whilst our parents chatted indoors. I lost contact with Linda after she moved. She was always good fun and I seem to remember her lovely sense of humour. We send our condolences to all
of her family at this difficult time.

To Linda’s family and community, I send you my sincere condolences.  I had the privilege of working with Linda over many years. She worked as the evaluator for a regional project that I was managing and later on, we worked side by side as independent contractors on the Health Planning Files on the Algonquin Territory.  I learnt a lot from Linda and I will remember her the kind and caring person that she was.  We had the same work ethics and we would laugh at how we would often have the same ideas at the exact same time.  She talked a lot about her children and grandchildren, she was very proud of them and missed them during her travels for work.  It is with a heavy heart that I write this message, rest in peace Linda, your advocacy work in the First Nation communities will be remembered  Migwech for your mentorship and friendship!.

My first memories of my cousin Linda, are from when I was about 3 years old and She, her father and mother (Uncle Bob and Aunt Queen) and two of her brothers, came to stay with us on Prince Edward Island when they first arrived in Canada. Although these memories have dimmed with time they were followed by many more.  I always looked forward to the visits of the Simon family to PEI and the family get togethers at Cape Traverse. We, Christine and I, wish to extend our most heartfelt condolances to her children, grandchildren and her brothers and her extended family. Love and Peace to all.

Linda has worked with us for so many years to make a better education system for our children. I am happy she lived long enough to see the results of her work. Many blessings on her and my heartfelt sympathies to her family.

We are so  sorry to hear the very sad news about Linda. I am Janice Davy nee Pamphilon and am the daughter of Stuart Pamphilon , Queenies brother, who we lost some years ago.  Lynda and I are cousins and I met her many years ago when I came and stayed with the family over in Montreal and Bob and Queenie were alive. I worked for British Airways at the time  so  came over for a week or so. I remember we went to Niagra Falls and went on the Maid of the Mist and got soaked. So much fun.  It seems so long ago now but I have fond memories of Linda.

I am so sorry to hear the news about Linda. I’m Sarah Jane Pamphilon who is the eldest daughter of Bill Pamphilon who was Linda’s Uncle, Queenie’s youngest brother. We lost him in 2012

Although we didn’t know Linda well, as being in the UK , we managed Xmas cards and of late a few family memories of when she was in the UK. 

I didn’t know she wasn’t well and was very surprised to hear this but please send my condolences to the family. 

I know how much she was loved by her family and how much she will be missed
