

Alma Gray Summers, 86, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away February 17, 2016. She was born November 11, 1929 in Wilson, North Carolina to Charlie and Verda Lee (Smith) Pitt. Alma spent her life taking care of her family and her home and she enjoyed keeping her home neat and tidy. She also enjoyed fishing and whether from the boat or the bank, any fish caught was a keeper. Alma once fed an entire motel fresh fried fish that she caught while attending a family reunion in North Carolina. She enjoyed cooking for her family and was famous for her cookouts and family dinners. Alma was very social and loved taking road trips. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Alma is survived by her sons, Maurice Summers and wife Carol of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Dana Summers and wife Deanne of Tuttle, Oklahoma; daughter, Vernette Johnson and husband William of Yeadon, Pennsylvania; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lucille Pitt and Hattie Smith, both of New Jersey; 5 brothers, Rodger Pitt and Sylvester Pitt of South Carolina and Melvin Pitt, William Earl Pitt and Larry Pitt of New Jersey; her Aunt Dorothy of New Jersey and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Theodore Summers. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel.
