Archie Jones

Archie D. Jones, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at the home of his granddaughter and grandson. He was the widower of June Janelle Jones. They married on October 24, 1958 and shared 63 years of marriage together.

Born in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, he was the son of Archie T. Jones and Lauren E. Jones (Evans). He attended Moore High school. He was a self-employed truck driver and worked as the owner of Jones Trucking.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his constant joy and strive to always make people happy.

He is survived by his children, Jan Jones of Oklahoma City, Randy Jones and spouse Becky of Oklahoma City, Melany Bailey and spouse Eugene of Oklahoma City; 5 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and number nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janelle Jones; parents, Archie and Lauren Jones; brothers, Bud Jones, Cotton Jones, Tony Jones; sister, Linda Williamson.

A visitation for Archie will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 4 pm – 8 pm at Advantage Funeral Home, location at 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave, OKC OK.

Funeral services will be at 11 am, Friday, March 1, 2024 at Advantage Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, OKC.
