

Bill married his high school sweetheart 61 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Brawley, 2 children – Wade Brawley and Phyllis Stewart, 3 grandchildren - Patrick, Rachel and Parker, 5 great grandchildren and a sister – Imogene Bondurant.
Bill served in the Army as a Master Sergeant and fought in the Korean War before graduating from Oklahoma University in 1956 with a Petroleum Engineering degree. He worked 31 years for Sun Oil Company, where he was a recognized leader in his industry as an offshore drilling expert, and was highly respected for his advice and expertise. He was a valuable mentor to many men and women during his career and he was proof that someone born in poverty could use his mind to discover ways to succeed and elevate himself, his family and friends.
Bill was a leader and a tireless supporter of Edmond Christian Church, where he served as a teacher, Deacon and Elder. Bill leaves behind him many good memories, tales and lessons. Throughout his years, Bill was an icon of strength, stability and fairness.
Bill’s memorial service will be presided by Darren Wade at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2010. In-lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Hope Center. Thank you to family and friends for your visits and support to Bill and his family.
