Billy Lee Tyson

Billy Lee Tyson 63, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on September 4, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Billy was born in Oklahoma City, OK to Edward Raymond and Maudy Pauline (Mills) Tyson on April 20, 1958. Billy joined the U.S. Navy after graduating high school, got married and had his only son, Clinton in 1979. Billy loved photography, Mexican food, dancing and going out to the clubs. He was an avid OU football & Thunder basketball fan, collected lapel pins and beer glasses from Hard Rock, and loved the Marvel super heroes (especially Captain America). Billy was a member of the OK Gay Rodeo Association (OGRA) and was named Mr. OGRA in 1998. He was family famous for his Christmas ham and you were lucky if there was any left. Billy loved 80’s dance music and just wanted to have fun!

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Bobby and Gene, and his sister; Debra. He is survived by his son; Clinton (Allison) Tyson, Granddaughter; Caitlin, Grandsons; Aiden, Dylan, and Logan, Brothers; Tommy (Cindy), Ronnie (Kathy), and Jimmy, sisters; Angela, Sharon (David), and Janice (Peter), aunt; Barbara, his beloved dog, Squeaker, and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
