Carl "Gene" Eugene Landon

Carl E. “Gene” Landon passed away March 4, 2019. Gene was born December 20, 1922 in Garber, OK to Virgil Ernest and Carrie Ellen (Bushey) Landon. Gene served in the Army Air Corp during WWII receiving the Victory Medal. He was a truck driver for Rainbo Bakery. Since 1964, Gene was a member of Lakeview Park Nazarene Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, spouses Mabel Vaughn Landon and Leatha Rice Landon, David Landon and siblings Alfred and Donald Landon and Irene Crisp. He is survived his children Carla Carpenter, Douglas Landon and Billy and Candy Rice; sister Shirley Spearman; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 8 nieces; 5 nephews as well as 6 great great grandchildren. Gene was a loving husband and father. He loved serving God, family and his church.

Visitation will be Monday, March 11 from 8 am to 8 pm and the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm. A service to celebrate his life will be 10 am, Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Crossings Community Chapel, 14600 N. Portland Ave, OKC, OK 73134
