Cecil Ray Johnson, Sr., age 88, passed away, Friday, November 14, 2015. He was born on September 4, 1927 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Cecil is preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn and his parents, Inez Jones Pollack and Guy Johnson. He is survived by his daughter Celia Smythe and son, Cecil R. Johnson, Jr., both from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Kallie Smythe Myers (her husband Craig), Ryan Johnson, Cassady Johnson and Nicholas Johnson and three great-grandchildren, Kate Myers, Will Myers and Ava Myers. He is also survived by his beloved cousin, Florabell Livingston. Cecil served in the Navy before graduating from Oklahoma University. Cecil became a landman and moved to Wichita, Kansas where he took a job at Koch Oil Company and met his future wife, Gwen. They moved to Oklahoma City when Cecil took a job with Michigan Wisconsin where he worked as District Land Manager until retiring. Cecil was an avid sport fan, he loved football, baseball, basketball and golf. A graveside services will be 11:00am, Thursday, Nov. 19th at Resurrection Cemetery, 7800 NW Expressway; OKC, OK.
